Our role
The Department of Industry and Resources' (DoIR) role is to:
- Facilitate major projects
- Provide input to Defence policy
- Represent industry in forums such as the Defence Exports Council
- Provide a link between Defence and local industry
- Provide infrastructure for industry
With the establishment of the Australian Marine Complex (AMC), DoIR also plays a key role in the national and international marketing and promotion of the AMC and attracting investment into this world-class facility.
