Key functions of the Department of Industrial and Resources
The Department of Industry and Resources (DoIR) provides leadership across Government, delivering services and solutions to enhance Western Australia's business environment and ensure continued growth. DoIR facilitates exploration and development as well as ensuring that operations are carried out in an acceptable manner.
The Department of Industry and Resources key functions in the area of project facilitation are to:
- Promote and facilitate investment in the responsible development of industry in WA
- Facilitate and manage the interface between investors and Government to ensure coordinated, timely Government decision-making and approval procedures
- Provide advice to Government and agencies on strategic issues affecting industrial and resources development in WA
