Technology Parks and Precincts
The State Government is currently developing specialised Technology Parks and Precincts which will bring together industry, academia, research organisations and the State's science and technology stakeholders.
Australian Marine Complex - Technology Precinct
The Technology Precinct, covering an area of approximately 50 hectares at the Australian Marine Complex, is a Western Australian Government initiative designed to foster innovation, entrepreneurship and growth within the marine, defence, oil and gas and resource sectors.
Technology Precinct will enables innovation-driven small to medium enterprises from industry, as well as academia, research and support organisations to develop and prosper through the establishment of strategic networks.
The precinct will help ensure Western Australia's marine industry stays at the forefront of innovation and technology development. It will also encompass research and development in other industry sectors such as information and communications technology (ICT), life sciences and resources and energy.
World class central service facilities including a state of the art Function Centre and a Business and Technology Centre will be fully operational by in mid 2008. These facilities are designed to support technology based organisations locating to the Technology Precinct.
The Technology Precinct is already home to leading defence technology group Raytheon Australia.

Technology Park Bentley
Located in Bentley, less than 6 kilometres from the central business district of Perth, is Western Australia’s Technology Park.
It also works closely with tertiary institutions and key government agencies such as the Department of Agriculture and Food and the Department of Environment and Conservation.
Home to over 100 organisations representing a range of industry sectors (together with support services), the Park generates major research activity from Centres of Excellence (refer to Related Links) such as CSIRO and the Australian Resources Research Centre.
The well established industry sectors in Technology Park include information and communications technology (ICT), resources and energy, environmental and biotechnology.
Technology Park has strategic linkages with interstate and international Parks and actively facilitates joint project collaboration opportunities for Park tenants.
